Hargreaves Land is making a major financial investment in this important facility and is providing the road access for the school by March 2023. It is envisaged the new school, which is being delivered by East Lothian Council, will be complete by the 2025/26 academic year

To enable the new primary school to be developed, pre-school and primary school pupils living at Blindwells will be hosted at Cockenzie Primary School on a temporary basis until the new primary school on the site is completed. It is envisaged that this period shall be no longer than 24 months and will be subject to an acceptable start date and programming for development at the Blindwells site.
